History
Bloomberg Government was launched by Bloomberg L.P. as a policy and government data service.[2] When Bloomberg acquired the Bureau of National Affairs (BNA) in 2011, the purchase was intended in part to bolster the existing Bloomberg Government, Bloomberg Law, and Bloomberg News services with BNA's policy databases and reporting.[2]
On July 1, 2017, Bloomberg Government was folded into Bloomberg BNA, and in 2019 the parent operation was renamed Bloomberg Industry Group, of which Bloomberg Government is a division alongside Bloomberg Law and Bloomberg Tax and Accounting.[2]
