Dataset card

RubyIntelligence's clinicaltrials-completed-phase3 is a small weekly dataset derived from the U.S. federal ClinicalTrials.gov registry, listing completed Phase 3 studies in a cleaned JSON format. A 50-row sample is freely available under CC BY 4.0, while the full file is sold via Gumroad.

What this dataset contains

The dataset is built from public-domain records on ClinicalTrials.gov and restricted to trials that have reached the completed Phase 3 stage. A free 50-row `sample.csv` is published under CC BY 4.0, while the broader weekly snapshot is offered for purchase on Gumroad. Each record carries a provenance object tying it back to the National Library of Medicine source.

Structure and fields

Files are delivered in JSON and are organized by a top-level `version` field along with a `schema_hash` that fingerprints the field layout. The `fields` array defines the schema, and the sample row exposes an `nct_id` column of type `str` referencing the ClinicalTrials.gov identifier. The published train split contains a single row, consistent with the under-1K size category noted in the dataset's tags.

How analysts use it

Investment teams tracking biopharma catalysts can use the completed Phase 3 cohort to monitor late-stage clinical outcomes, correlate NCT IDs with sponsor pipelines, and build proprietary trackers of trial progression. The provenance and schema_hash fields also support version control when the dataset is refreshed each Friday night. Analysts should note that patient-level data was intentionally excluded at collection time, so use cases are limited to metadata and trial-level analysis.
