Dataset card

Reviewed

This catalog entry groups Sea-Intelligence's container-shipping reports and custom data services; it is not a separately verified product named Maritime Trade Analytics. The official services page describes schedule reliability, vessel delays, capacity deployment and forward-looking vessel schedules.

What this dataset contains

Global Liner Performance is a monthly schedule-reliability report with an accompanying Excel file. Trade Capacity Outlook reports weekly capacity deployment on 19 major container trade lanes and a 12-week outlook based on carrier-issued vessel schedules. Custom services include delays, service deployment and vessel particulars; the provider describes historical series beginning in January 2012, with scope depending on the requested extraction. These are provider-published descriptions, not an independent audit.

Structure and fields

The services page documents PDF reports and an Excel data file for Global Liner Performance, but does not specify a single schema or API contract for all services. Confirm field definitions, trade-lane mappings, timestamps, revisions and delivery terms before purchasing a custom extract. This entry does not establish access to raw AIS positions or customs declarations. Public starting prices are EUR 2,000/year for Global Liner Performance and EUR 2,200/year for Trade Capacity Outlook, checked on 7 September 2026; custom data requires a separate quote.

How analysts use it

Analysts can compare schedule reliability across carriers and lanes or examine changes in planned vessel capacity. Scheduled capacity is not realized cargo volume: cancellations, substitutions and delays can change the outcome. For historical research, retain the publication date and successive forecast vintages to avoid using later revisions as if they were known earlier. Confirm redistribution and retention rights in the subscription or custom-data contract.
